BELLINGHAM — King’s scored twice in the game’s first 14 minutes and goalkeeper Madeline Nielsen made them hold up as the Knights beat Meridian 2-0 Saturday in the Class 2A state quarterfinals.
Katie Stella scored in the fourth minute, knocking in a rebound after a shot by Anisa Uberuaga. Anna Parker added the second goal in the 14th minute off an assist by Abby Jenkins.
King’s (19-1-1) plays University Prep at 4 p.m. Friday at Shoreline Stadium in the state semifinals.
