Lowry and defenseman Joe Hicketts is taking part in Canada’s preparations for the upcoming World Junior Hockey Championships, winger Brandon Magee is out with an upper-body injury, and center Greg Chase is serving a one-game suspension for a spearing major penalty at the end of Tuesday’s 5-4 loss at Seattle. As a result the Royals play one skater short. Defenseman Jack Walker is listed as a forward, meaning Victoria at least begins the game with just five d-men.
