SPOKANE — Glacier Peak remain undefeated in overall play (10-0) with a 55-33 victory over Lewis and Clark on Monday. Samantha Fatkin, Paisley Johnson and Kayla Watkins each scored 13 points for the Grizzlies in the win.

“We like each other,” Glacier Peak head coach Brian Hill said about his team’s chemistry. “All the girls get along really really well. They’ve all accpeted the roles that they have on this team.

They’re very coachable, they listen to what (the coaching staff is) doing and (are) willing to try new things and work hard at it. They’re a fun group of girls.”

Hill has enjoyed this kind of success in the past.

“We were 10-0 last year and we lost game 11 so who knows,” Hill said about their game today against Universtiy High School in Spokane. “It’s fun and it’s good, but every game it seems that we have self added pressure. You can kind of feel it building a bit, but you try not to think about it.”

Hill said that despite the unbeaten start to the season, the Grizzles just want to stay hot for the playoffs.

“We just want to be playing in March as long as we possibly can,” Hill said.
