Prep wrestling: Lake Stevens wrestling

CLOVIS, Calif. — Lake Stevens placed 18th in a 99-team field at the Doc Buchanan Invitational as the tournament, one of the most prestigious prep wrestling events in the nation, wrapped up on Saturday.

Cody Vigoren claimed fifth place at 195 pounds after losing in a semifinal, Jake Douglas took seventh at 138 and Michael Soler placed eighth at 132 for the Vikings, who are seeking to win their third consecutive Class 4A state championship.
