STANWOOD ? AJ Martinka scored 18 points to lead Stanwood to a convincing victory over Everett in the first round of the 3A Boys District 1 Tournament. Chris Bell scored 14 points for the Seagulls in the loss.
Karsten Chaplik and Skout Roberson each added 10 for the Spartans, who led 43-18 at halftime.
Stanwood will face Arlington at 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday at Jackson High School. Everett will face Shorewood at 7 p.m. on Wednesday at Shorewood.
