Prep baseball: Archbishop Murphy 4, South Whidbey 3

LANGLEY — JT Burtsche’s RBI double and Joe Damitio’s RBI single in the top of the seventh gave the Wildcats a 4-2 lead in their Cascade Conference game on Wednesday.

South Whidbey’s Ricky Muzzy led off the bottom of the seventh with a single, stole second and scored on a bunt down the third base line by Connor Antich. Muzzy broke from second on the pitch.

Archbishop Murphy’s Connor Sand, who struck out three and walked one in the complete game effort, got a pair of comebackers to end it.

Will Simms, who also went the distance for the Falcons, fell to 1-1 with the loss.
