Small earthquake reported near Darrington

DARRINGTON — A 2.6-magnitude earthquake was reported near here Saturday evening.

The earthquake was recorded at 6:19 p.m. about 12 miles west-northwest of Darrington, according to the Pacific Northwest Seismic Network.

The network rated the shaking at 3 on a scale of 1 to 10, meaning people in the Arlington and Darrington area likely felt weak shaking or none at all.
