SULTAN — Shelby Jeffries struck out 14 of the 15 batters she faced on the mound and blasted a grand slam in the fourth inning for Sultan in their win over Cedar Park Christian-Bothell in Cascade Conference softball. Jeffries, a junior and one of two team captains for Sultan, allowed just one hit in five shutout innings.

Daphne Pohaku went 2-for-2 with two RBI and a run scored, Grace Low went 1-for-2 with two RBI and a run scored, and Kayla Downs doubled and scored a run for the Turks.
