Prep softball: Mountlake Terrace 7, Shorewood 6

SHORELINE — Mountlake Terrace erupted four three runs in each of the fourth and fifth innings to overtake the Thunderbirds in a Wesco 3A South game on Tuesday night.

Kira Doan — who earned the victory in relief of starter Sammy Ruiz — doubled in the game, as did Ashley Fitzgerald and Jazz Zenk.

Kendall Adams struck out eight in the circle and doubled for Shorewood.
