Prep baseball: Ferndale 6, Meadowdale 1

FERNDALE — Ferndale defeated Meadowdale Wednesday in a loser-out 3A District Tournament game, ending the Mavericks’ season.

Parker Coffey went 1-for-2 at the plate for Meadowdale — which committed four errors in the game — with a double and an RBI. Teammates Garrett Walsh (1-for-3) and Brett Schafer (1-for-2) also hit doubles.

Ferndale’s Kyler Schemstad was 2-for-3 with a double and three RBI.
