Prep boys golf: 1A State Tournament

PASCO — JackRyan O’Neil fired a first-round 75 to place sixth after the first day of competition at Sun Willows Golf Course on Wednesday, trailing leader Ryan Maine of Freeman by five strokes.

Other locals to make the cut of 84 included South Whidbey’s Anton Klein, who shot an 80 to tie for 23rd, Karson Dreher of King’s (81, T-28th), Oscar Chen of King’s (82, T-31st) and Sultan’s Tyler Aamold (84, T-36th).
