RICHLAND — Kayla Downs drove in two runs and Alison Fulcher added another RBI Friday as the Turks scored all of their runs in the first inning to beat Naches Valley in a loser-out game at the Class 1A state tournament.

Sultan lost to Montesano 10-0 earlier in the day.

Against Naches Valley, Sultan’s Shelby Jeffries struck out 13 and allowed one unearned run in a complete-game effort.
