Police seek information in fatal collision near Darrington

DARRINGTON — Detectives are looking for witnesses to a collision between two vehicles that resulted in the death of Austin Hooper, of Darrington.
The crash occurred near the 30800 block of Swede Heaven Road around 2 a.m. Oct. 28. It involved a small, dark-colored Mazda 3 and a dark-colored Ford F-250 pickup truck.
Hooper, 21, was the driver of the truck.
Detectives with the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office are hoping to speak with anyone who may have witnessed the behaviors of either driver up to the point of the collision.
