Prep girls soccer: Stanwood 3, Shorewood 1

MOUNT VERNON — Carlie Roberts’ two assists helped boost the Stanwood Spartans to a win over Shorewood in a 3A District 1 loser-out game on Thursday.

Jaelynn Walker, Camryn Cross and Anna Depew scored for Stanwood, which will face Marysville Pilchuck on Saturday to determine third place and the district’s third and final state tournament berth.

Shorewood’s only goal came from Anna Tinoco.
