Grimes, a senior, rushed for 280 yards on 21 carries and scored three rushing touchdowns in the Vikings’ 49-14 victory over Graham-Kapowsin in the 4A state quarterfinals. The Vikings will face Skyline in a semifinal Saturday in the Tacoma Dome.

Diede, a sophomore, scored two goals and had one assist in a 4-0 win over Connell that gave the Knights third place in the 1A state tournament Saturday.
