Everett Silvertips practice notes and links

The Silvertips held a light ice session today with just the power play unit. The Tips are 2-for-29 on the power play in their last s even games and 0-for-18 in their last four contests. Granted, that doesn’t necessarily mean Everett isn’t getting chances on those power plays, but they aren’t getting goals.
The one that really hurt was an 0-for-13 showing in two losses last week to Tri-City and Prince George. The loss to PG included a pair of five-on-threes Everett failed to convert, prompting head coach Kevin Constantine to say “we need to solve that.”
That could continue to be a challenge as Noah Juulsen will leave following Wednesday’s game for Team Canada’s World Junior Championship training camp.
Everett has two more three-game weeks before taking a break from Dec. 20-26. The Tips will play host to Portland Wednesday before traveling to Tri-City and Seattle this weekend.
