Wednesday’s prep basketball stars

Here are some of the outstanding performers from Wednesday night’s high school basketball action:
BOYS
— Derek Anyimah, Mountlake Terrace. Anyimah scored 20 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead the Hawks to the 49-43 win over West Seattle, handing the Wildcats their first loss of the season.
— Trenton Newhouse, Monroe. Newhouse scored a game-high 22 points to lead the Bearcats to an 85-53 win over Interlake.
— David Woodard, Edmonds-Woodway. Woodard led all scorers with 28 points as the Warriors defeated Snohomish 74-31.
— Drew Tingstand, Meadowdale. Tingstad made the game-winner at the buzzer to give the Mavericks a 54-52 win over Ingraham.
— Corey Kispert, King’s. Kispert scored 26 of his team’s 44 points as the Knights defeated Inglemoor 44-27.
GIRLS
— Madison Pollock, Snohomish. Pollock scored 20 points and grabbed 14 rebounds as the Panthers defeated White River 53-37.
— Mikayla Pivec, Lynnwood. The 5-foot-10 guard scored 33 points, grabbed 24 rebounds and dished seven assists to lead Lynnwood to an 85-71 win over Salesian at the West Coast Jamboree. Pivec and the Royals finished 3-0 in the tournament.
