Prep boys basketball: Shorecrest 47, Tumwater 41

YAKIMA — Shorecrest was held without a point third quarter by Tumwater, but outscored the Thunderbirds 17-6 in the fourth quarter on its way to a 47-41 win in a 2A state semifinal on Friday.
The Scots (18-8) will face 24-1 Clarkston for the state championship at 3 p.m. on Saturday.
It was a wild game of runs in the SunDome, with Shorecrest winning the second and fourth periods and Tuwmater taking the first and third.
Shorecrest has now won all six of its postseason games, and is 11-2 since Jan. 13.
