“Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat”: Presented by the Lynnwood Stake of the LDS church, the musical plays 7 p.m. March 11 and 4 p.m. March 12 at 17321 44th Ave. W. Lynnwood. Admission is free, but reservations are required at www.lynnwoodstakeplay.org. Bring a donation to the food bank.

“Sylvia”: Woodinville Rep’s production of the comedy continues. Sylvia, one of the mouthiest rescue dogs of all time, adopts a middle-aged man. Shows are 7:30 p.m. Fridays, Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays through March 20 at Denali Design Studio, 16120 Woodinville-Redmond Road NE, No. 15, Woodinville. “Spotlight on Local Playwrights” featuring Christopher Bailey and his “Man Defeats Nature,” runs March 17 to 26. The play tells the story of a family whose adult son hasn’t recovered a year after the eruption of Mount St. Helens. The cast includes Danette Meline, Dan Niven, Asa Sholdez and Annie St. John. Performances are 8 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays. $15.

“The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee,” musical comedy, April 22 to May 8.

“Suite Surrender,” an homage to the farces of the 1930s and ’40s, June 10 to 26.

“Cash on Delivery”: Historic Everett Theatre’s resident comedy troupe, the Outcast Players, takes on this play April 14 to 29 at the theater, 2911 Colby Ave. Tickets are $12. Performances will be 7:30 Thursdays, 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 3 p.m. Sundays. Call 425-258-6766.

Youth productions

“Pippin”: Arlington High School’s drama department, under the direction of Scott Moberly, present the 2013 Tony Award-winning musical at 7 p.m. March 11, 12, 18, and at 1 and 7 p.m. March 19 in the Byrnes Performing Arts Center on the Arlington High School campus. Pippin, son of the King of the Holy Roman Emperor, meet a troupe of players who help him invent and envision his future. Josh Basher performs in the title role. Tickets are available online at byrnesperformingarts.org or at the door.

“Into the Woods”: Ludus Performing Arts hits the stage with the epic fairy tale musical by Stephen Sondheim about wishes, family and the choices we make. Performances are 7 p.m. March 18, 19, 25, and 2 and 7 p.m. March 26 at the Snohomish County PUD Auditorium, 2320 California, Everett. Tickets, $15 for all ages, are available at the door or in advance at www.ludusyouththeatre.org. Not appropriate for children under 8.

“The Sleeping Beauty”: Olympic Ballet Theatre of Edmonds celebrates its 35th anniversary with a full-length, professional production of the classical ballet at 1 p.m. April 3 at Everett Performing Arts Center, 2710 Wetmore Ave., and 7 p.m. April 9, Edmonds Center for the Arts, 410 Fourth Ave. N. Everett Gala Ball: The 2016 Everett Gala Ball, a competition for dancers and choreographers, is 7 p.m. March 26 at the Dorothy Jayne Studio in Everett. The Gala Show is features performances by the top 12 finalists, as well as the dance “Isadora,” performed by World Professional Showdance finalist Mikhail Avdeev from Los Angeles and World Cup Professional Latin finalist, Ekaterina Zakharoff of Everett. Riser tickets are $30 for 12 and older. Table tickets are $50 each. Children are $10. Preliminary competition is 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 26, and is free.
