Water: Celebrate World Water Day from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 26 at Brightwater center in Bothell. Enjoy art projects, outdoor exploration, science experiments and tours of the treatment plant. Bear dogs: Meet Colter and Savute, Karelian bear dogs who help resolve bear-people conflicts, at 1 p.m. March 26. The dogs and their handlers, state Fish and Wildlife officers Chris Moszeter and Nick Jorg, will be at the Northwest Stream Center in McCollum Park, 128th Street SE, Everett. They will talk and give a presentation of the dogs’ skills. $7, $5 for Adopt A Stream members. Call 425-316-8592 to make a reservation.
Science: Kids ages 7 and older can learn about light at 1:30 p.m. March 26 at Mountlake Terrace Library, 23300 58th Ave. W. Register at http://sno-isle.org/events.
Bigfoot: Is it real or a myth? Decide for yourself after listening to David George Gordon, a Bigfoot expert and the author of “Field Guide to the Sasquatch” at 2 p.m. March 26 at the Monroe Library, 1070 Village Way. For teens and adults. More info: http://sno-isle.org/events.

Hikes: Rangers will lead free, 3-mile hikes through old-growth forest in Rockport State Park at 9:30 a.m. Saturdays through April 30. Hikes at the park, on North Cascades Highway just west of the junction with Highway 530, begin at the parking lot and end with warm drinks in the Discovery Center. Bounce: From April 1 to 17, the Seattle Center Armory will be transformed into a hub of child-sized entertainment with inflatable rides, balloon artists, face painting, caricature artists and food. $8 for an all day main-floor pass, $4.50 for toddler zone pass, $1.50 for single ride ticket. Kids can ride for free on Thursdays. For kids 12 and under; www.seattlecenter.org.
Whales: Welcome the return of the gray whales on April 16 and 17 in Langley on Whidbey Island. The event includes educational displays, costume making, children’s activities and a parade on Saturday. A cruise to see the gray whales is on Sunday afternoon. Get details at www.orcanetwork.org.
Spring: Enjoy a spring fair at the Evergreen State Fairgrounds April 22 to 24 at the fairgrounds in Monroe. There will be a carnival, fishing, bazaar and more; http://www.evergreenfair.org.

Quirky: See “James and the Giant Peach Jr.” on the stage at Everett Performing Arts Center at 7:30 p.m. Thursday to Saturdays and 2:30 p.m. Sunday from April 8 to 24. $12-$14; www.villagetheatre.org.
Music Musical storytime, Soundbridge Seattle Symphony Music Discovery Center, 200 University St., Seattle. Kids explore classic musical stories through games, song and dance in this 30-minute class, 10:30 a.m. Fridays. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., children can see, touch and play real instruments. Imagine Children’s Museum: 1502 Wall St., Everett. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sundays.
