MONROE — Jared Cogar, a Central Washington commit, threw a five-inning perfect game on Wednesday as the Bearcats beat Mariner 10-0 in a Wesco 4A game.
Cogar struck out six in the perfecto, and needed just 45 pitches to blank the Marauders (1-4 league, 2-7 overall).
Monroe coach Eric Chartrand said Cogar through just five balls out of his 45 pitches, one in each inning, and that Mariner didn’t hit a ball out of the infield.
Justin Folz doubled and Jack Langston tripled in the game for Monroe (1-4, 4-7).
