Monday’s best bets on TV include:

Even the Woman of Steel needs a break. “Supergirl” closes out its action-packed first season, but not before our heroine (Melissa Benoist) deals with one more violent threat to all of humanity. 8 p.m., CBS.

The compelling time-travel thriller “12 Monkeys” returns for its second season. Of course, the stakes are even higher now that the Twelve control the Temporal Facility. 9 p.m., Syfy.

“Better Call Saul” puts the finishing touches on an excellent second season as Jimmy (Bob Odenkirk) faces a difficult choice. We’re assuming it has nothing to do (yet) with selecting a new name. 10 p.m., AMC.
