Viva Color: It’s time to fill downtown Everett planters with bright flowers again at Viva Color, May 13. All ages are welcome to help Everett Parks and Recreation employees plant hundreds of blooming plants and greens in large containers. Meet at 8:30 a.m. on the corner of Colby and Hewitt avenues. Rock opera: “In His Hands,” a Christian rock opera by local composer Susan Olmos, runs May 13-15 at the Mountlake Terrace High School auditorium, 21801 44th Ave. W. St. Jude’s benefit: Horse Country Farm holds a Saddle Up for St. Jude’s fundraiser and summer camp open house, 1-4 p.m. May 15. The farm is on Highway 92 between Granite Falls and Lake Stevens. Raffle for park: Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8870 holds a raffle to raise money to help finish the Edmonds Veteran Plaza. Kid clothes, Lynnwood: Clothes For Kids, a Lynnwood nonprofit that provides wardrobes for low-income families, seeks volunteers to help sort clothes, stock shelves, assist shoppers and more. Enhance Fitness: Group Health Medicare members are invited to take a low-impact aerobics class for free.
