Bob Dylan will play at Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery’s amphitheater this weekend.

Two of the biggest names in folk — one old and one new — will be drawing thousands of people to outdoor venues over the course of the weekend.

The old act is a pop-culture icon: Bob Dylan. He will headline two sold-out shows at the Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery’s amphitheater at 7 p.m. June 4 and June 5.

Dylan’s enjoyed an unprecedented run of success, starting with early hits including “Like a Rolling Stone” and “The Times They Are A’Changin’.” His work has inspired countless other acts, from his one-time contemporaries the Beatles all the way down to modern-day chart-toppers like Mumford and Sons.

A ridiculously prolific songwriter, he has continued to release loads of material for decades. Most recently, Dylan released an album that drew on classic American songs last year, “Shadows in the Night.” Now he’s on the road after releasing “Fallen Angels,” another album largely built of covers.

Tickets are sold-out but can be found at a mark-up at stubhub.com.

Also this weekend, the Lumineers will set up shop at Marymoor Park, as the modern-day folk kings headline the venue from tonight, June 3, until June 5. All shows start at 6 p.m.

The Denver act broke into the mainstream with its self-titled debut, which featured the inescapable No. 1 hit single “Ho Hey,” along with a string of other tuneful hits, such as “Stubborn Love” and “Dead Sea.”

The group is now on the road after releasing that album’s follow-up, “Cleopatra.” The hotly anticipated disc debuted this spring at No. 1, thanks in part to the catchy lead single, “Ophelia.”

Tickets are $35 at www.axs.com.

Chevelle also is heading to the Northwest, playing Seattle’s Showbox SoDo at 8 p.m. June 4.

The Chicago-born alt-metal act landed its first hit back in 2000 with “Point #1,” and has since become a steady presence on the modern rock charts. Its albums usually debut in the top 20 on the Billboard 200.

It’s now working on its eighth studio album, an as-yet-untitled affair that will serve as the follow-up to 2014’s well-received “La Gargola.”

Tickets are $34.75 at showboxonline.com or 888-929-7849.

The Showbox SoDo will then stay busy next week, when the reunited At the Drive-In play the spot at 8:30 p.m. June 8.

The act won a fervent following with its hard-edged take on post-hardcore music in the 1990s and early 2000s. Though the group splintered in 2005, it had left behind a series of influential albums, including 2000’s “Relationship of Command.”

The band has reunited in the past to play festival dates, but the current tour marks its first full-fledged reunion, with the group even hinting that new music may be on the way.

Tickets are $39.50 at stgpresents.org or 877-784-4849.

The Silversun Pickups also are on the way to town, playing a smaller club date at the Showbox at 8 p.m. June 6.

The popular alt-rock act first made its mark in 2007 with the single “Lazy Eye,” a track that showcased a big anthemic sound that was indebted to acts like Smashing Pumpkins.

Since then, the group has released a string of hit albums, which include “Swoon,” “Neck of the Woods,” and most recently “Better Nature.” All have bowed in the top 20 on the Billboard 200.

The group will be joined by Joywave, another popular name on alt-rock radio.

Tickets are $35 at showboxonline.com or 888-929-7849.

The Neptune Theatre will host a pair of shows in the days ahead as well.

First up is a visit from folk-pop singer-songwriter Brett Dennen, who will play the venue at 7 tonight, June 3. Dennen’s on the road behind his sixth studio album, May’s “Por Favor.”

Tickets are $25 at stgpresents.org or 877-784-4849.

Then Sam Beam and Jesca Hoop will play the Neptune at 8:30 p.m. June 4.

Beam usually tours as a headliner under the name Iron and Wine, the popular modern-day folk act. But he teamed up with Hoop for an album of duets, “Love Letter for Fire,” which saw release on Sub Pop Records in April.

Tickets are $31 at stgpresents.org or 877-784-4849.
