Teen hurt; driver flees

LYNNWOOD — A teen hit by a car Sunday afternoon while she was walking on a sidewalk along 196th Street in Lynnwood was taken to a hospital for a medical evaluation.
The girl, 17, described soreness and suffered bruises to her left leg.
Lynnwood police are looking for help in identifying the driver.
The Meadowdale High School student said she was walking on the north side of 196th Street SW near the 4200 block. She was on her way to work around 2:30 p.m. Sunday when she was hit and knocked down.
“The victim reported a vehicle exiting the parking lot struck her,” Lynnwood police Sgt. Sean Doty said.
The victim indicated the driver was a woman “who looked right at her when she fell down,” Doty said.
The driver of the vehicle continued without rendering aid.
Another driver stopped to make sure she was OK.
A description of the vehicle was not immediately available.
