EvCC adds new East County Campus director

Everett Community College has hired a new director for its East County Campus. Mostafa Ghous, who now lives in Snohomish, is the former director of Campus Life and Student Activities at Berkeley City College where he managed the college’s Outreach and Retention services, student leadership initiatives, community relations, faculty and student events and district-wide diversity efforts.
Evergreen Beauty College named one of best companies to work for
Evergreen Beauty College was recognized by Seattle Business Magazine as one of the 2016 Top 100 Best Companies to Work For in Washington for the third year in a row. The company ranked fifth out of the field of 100 recognized companies. The honor was received at their annual award ceremony on June 23.
Skydive Snohomish raises $6,000 for Housing Hope
Housing Hope’s Fill the Sky with Hope event on June 25 raised more than $6,000 for the non-profit. The event was hosted by Skydive Snohomish. Throughout the day, a portion of each tandem skydive registration fee was donated to Housing Hope. In addition, Skydive Snohomish also donated skydives to seven Housing Hope residents during the event.
Everett Grocery Outlet collects donations for food bank
Grocery Outlet’s sixth Annual Independence From Hunger Food Drive has launched. The Everett Grocery Outlet is teaming up with Salt of the Earth Food Bank to collect donations throughout the entire month of July. This is traditionally a time when food agencies experience the greatest need to serve children who are out of school during the summer.
