Music on Lake Stevens
The 2016 Music on the Lake series starts Thursday at North Cove Park, 1806 Main St. The Roosevelt Road Band is scheduled to perform at 7 p.m. The event is free for everyone. The concerts are planned every Thursday evening through July, with a different band performing at each one. More info: ci.lake-stevens.wa.us/calendar.aspx.
Barbecue fundraiser: A barbecue lunch fundraiser to benefit the Mill Creek Senior Center is set for 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at Brookdale of Mill Creek, 14905 Bothell-Everett Highway. Dine on hot dogs and hamburgers with all the fixings, plus strawberry shortcake. Cost is $10. More info: 425-948-7170.
Drain medallions: Help remind others to keep pollution out of Puget Sound by placing medallions that read “No Dumping. Drains to Sound” on storm drains in public areas of Mukilteo. The WSU Beach Watchers offers medallion kits and training on how to place them, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, and again on July 30, at the Rosehill Community Center, 304 Lincoln Ave. RSVP required. Lighthouse volunteers: The Mukilteo Lighthouse Festival seeks volunteers. Learn about volunteer opportunities at 7 p.m. July 20 at the Chamber of Commerce, 4902 76th St. SW, 425-353-5516. The festival is scheduled Sept. 9 to 11. More info: mukilteolighthousefestival.com.
