It’s a day of glorious gluttony.

More than 20 food trucks will converge in downtown Everett from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 27.

The Everett Food Truck Festival, presented by Live in Everett, is bigger this year and features fare from vegan to beefy, sweet to salty.

Trucks will be on Colby Avenue between Everett Avenue and 25th Street.

Line up to see what wonders await at this food court on wheels.

And wait. Yes, chances are you will have to wait.

Food truck dining takes patience, but it’s worth the wait.

It’s not like a fast-food joint, with a team of workers assigned to stations.

Food truck chefs do it all in tight quarters. Much of the fare is made to order.

Foodies know the drill. It’s easy to learn. Follow these rules so you can keep on food truckin’ like a pro.

Food trucking has its own etiquette

1. Wait patiently and politely. No muttering. No letting your friends cut in line to join you. Catch Pokémon or catch up on social media while you wait. Chit-chat with your neighbor. Don’t talk loudly on your phone the whole time.

2. Read the menu while you wait so you know what you want. Menus are highly visible for a reason. Make up your mind. Don’t be indecisive at the window.

3. Bring cash. Some trucks don’t take credit cards. Cash is efficient.

4. Leave a tip. This is an eatery. Tips are deserved and always appreciated.

5. Pick up those napkins that you drop or blow away. Throw away your trash.

6. Enjoy the outdoors. Take a deep breath. Get a whiff of what’s at another food truck.

Repeat.
