AquaSox hang on late for 6-3 victory over Boise

BOISE, Idaho — The Everett AquaSox took advantage of three Boise errors and held on late for a 6-3 win over the Hawks on Wednesday at Memorial Stadium.
The Sox (42-29 overall, 24-9 second half) broke the game open with a three-run fifth, then scored twice in the top of the ninth before subduing a Boise rally in the final frame.
The top four hitters in the Everett lineup combined to go 9-for-17 in the game, and Nick Zammarelli went 3-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored.
David Greer drove in a pair of runs to make a winner of Brandon Miller (4-2), who worked five innings and allowed one unearned run. He also struck out seven Boise hitters.
