AquaSox defeat Boise 7-4 behind Festa

BOISE, Idaho — Bryson Brigman drove in Austin Grebeck with a sacrifice fly in the fifth inning, leading the Everett AquaSox to a 7-4 win over the Boise Hawks on Thursday.

Grebeck scored on the play to give the AquaSox a 3-2 lead after he reached base with a triple.

Everett right-hander Matthew Festa (6-2) picked up the win after allowing two runs on five hits over five innings.

Opposing starter Kyle Cedotal (1-2) took the loss in the Northwest League game after allowing three runs and six hits over five innings.

Marvin Gorgas retired the side in order for his fifth save of the season.

Wesley Jones homered and singled, driving in two runs for the Hawks.

With the win, Everett improved to 7-2 against Boise this season and 24-9 in the second half.
