Front Porch: Volunteers sought for Ballinger Park cleanup

Volunteers needed

Volunteers are invited to help clean up Ballinger Park in Mountlake Terrace on Sept. 17 as part of the National Day of Service. The cleanup will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Volunteers should meet in the parking lot, 23000 Lakeview Drive. Wear comfortable work clothes and bring gardening gloves and tools. Clothes For Kids: The Lynnwood nonprofit that provides disadvantaged students with clothing requests new underwear and socks, jeans sizes 6 to 12, plus-size clothing for teen girls and other donations of new and gently used clothing. Drop off donations in the secure bin at back door of Clothes For Kids, 16725 52nd Ave. W, Suite B, Lynnwood. More info: 425-741-6500.

Shrimp boil: The Marysville Sunrise Rotary holds its annual Louisiana Shrimp Boil and Golf Tournament fundraiser Saturday at Cedarcrest Golf Course, 6810 84th St. NE, Marysville.
