Head-on crash near Arlington injures man

ARLINGTON — An Arlington man was seriously injured in a crash Friday on Highway 9 near the Snohomish-Skagit county line.
The man, 48, was driving northbound when his Honda was hit head-on by another vehicle.
The southbound driver, a 57-year-old Sedro-Woolley man, reportedly was trying to pass in a no-pass zone. The crash was reported at 5:45 p.m., about eight miles north of Arlington.
The Arlington man was flown by helicopter to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. An update on his condition was not available Saturday.
The Sedro-Woolley man was booked into the Skagit County Jail for investigation of vehicular assault. Both cars were destroyed..
The Washington State Patrol is investigating.
