EVERETT — Two teens were injured Friday afternoon in a one-car crash southeast of Everett near Seattle Hill Road.

Detectives with the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Collision Investigation Unit were investigating the accident in the 13010 block of 51st Drive SE. It was reported just before 12:30 p.m., said Leslie Hynes, a spokeswoman for Snohomish County Fire District 1.

The passenger, a 16-year-old boy, suffered critical injuries and was transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

The driver, a 17-year-old girl, was taken to a local hospital with injuries that weren’t believed to be life threatening, sheriff’s spokeswoman Shari Ireton said.

The car left the roadway and struck a concrete fence, Ireton said.
