Dogs available for adoption from Everett Animal Shelter
Dave is a smart young dog. He is ready for training classes and catches on quickly. He is a bit of an escape artist so secure confinement is a must when not supervised. Dave has done ok with other dogs he has met here but will need a feline free and small critter free home. (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)
Gulliver is an active mid size dog. He needs to be the only pet in the home. This also means dog parks are out of the question. He is very people friendly and needs plenty of exercise! He may need a refresher course on house training but he is a fast learner. Come meet this unique looking guy today. (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)
Macie is a very under socialized young dog. She is very wary of strangers and other dogs. She will need an adult only home committed to working with her and perhaps attending training classes geared towards fearful dogs. She may do OK with a calm well adjusted dog but will need a meet and greet. She will chase cats so caution should be used if there are felines in the home. (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)
Madison is an active young dog looking for a new home. She is on the shy side so any children in the home should be over the age of 12 years. Madison has done ok with other dogs she has met here but will need a meet and greet with any resident dogs. She will also need a feline free home as she does have some prey drive. Madison enjoys going for walks and would make a great hiking buddy. (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)
Penelope is a nice young dog who’s owner passed away. She is a little confused right now but is very sweet. She has lived with adults and we are not sure how she will do with children Penelope will chase cats and will need a meet and greet with any resident canines. (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)
Shasta is Husky mix looking for her forever home! Shasta is looking for an owner that can match her activity level as she is a extremely active, strong and intelligent dog. Huskies tend to have high prey drives, and are not suitable companions for owners with cats. Huskies are notoriously vocal, and do not do well in apartments. Huskies tend to be very intelligent problem solvers as well, and quickly get themselves into trouble when left to their own devices so she will need plenty of appropriate outlets for her cleverness, such as interactive toys like Kongs and Buster Cubes. Shasta is picky about her doggy playmates so any dogs in the house will need a meet and greet. She has lived with other children before and did well but do understand she may knock them around due to her size. (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)

The Everett Animal Shelter hosts thousands of stray and unwanted animals every year. Some are adopted right away, but some sit in the shelter for weeks at a time, waiting for a home. The shelter has dogs and cats, as well as some rabbits and birds, all looking for a loving home.

All pets are vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and given a identifying microchip before they are adopted. Take a look at some of the dogs, cats and other animals that are available for adoption at the shelter now. Here is the previous post featuring animals up for adoption.

If you’re interested in adopting an animal, the shelter is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, call 425-257-6000.
