The Washington State SkillsUSA competition was held April 29 in Yakima. Local winners:

Arlington High School: Abigail Hummer (second place, early childhood education)

Edmonds-Woodway High School: Isaiah Colobong (first place, architectural drafting)

Sno-Isle Tech Skills Center: Chase Cormick (first place, CNC milling), Christian Gray (second place, CNC milling), Tucker Tanis (third place, CNC milling), Johnathan Pilling (first place, CNC technician), Joshua Primrose (second place, CNC turning), Kory Glover (second place, diesel equipment technology), Aireal Loyd (first place, restaurant service), Katelyn Clemens (second place, restaurant service), Camden Osbjornsen (third place, restaurant service)

The students were eligible to compete at the 2017 SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference, held in June in Louisville, Kentucky. No local students were among the medalists.
