Silvertips unveil new sweaters for 15th WHL season

The Everett Silvertips came out with new jerseys Wednesday that they will wear during the 2017-18 season, the organization’s 15th year in the Western Hockey League.
The new sweaters are a departure from the jerseys of the past that displayed the grizzly bear prominently. The new jerseys feature the “old style English ‘E’” similar to the “throw-back” jerseys the team has worn for select games the past two seasons.
“It made complete sense to celebrate our growth with a jersey that gives a nod to a retro theme and was fully embraced by our fans over the last two seasons,” said CHI chief operating officer and governor Zoran Rajcic in the press release. “We’ve taken a deep breath over the last few months to evaluate how we can make a better experience for our friends through the turnstiles each night. Their feedback is valuable, paving the way to our goal this season to embrace our history as a franchise and aim for a fresh approach in the feeling of each game night.”
