Monroe High School graduate Ian Parmley made his major-league debut on June 23 with the Toronto Blue Jays. It was a long journey to the majors for Parmley who, after being taken in the seventh round of the 2012 amateur draft mainly as a cost-saving selection, spent six seasons in the minors before getting his first shot at the big leagues.
