Stanwood man, Camano pair arrested in home invasion case

CAMANO ISLAND — Police have arrested three suspects in connection with a recent Camano Island home invasion robbery.

A man and woman, both 26 and from Camano Island, were taken into custody along with a 39-year-old Stanwood man.

The robbery happened Wednesday morning at a home along Sandy Drive.

A couple reported that a man drove through their locked gate and threatened them with what appeared to be a shotgun. He forced them inside, where he bound their hands and legs. Police were told the man stole a large amount of cash before fleeing.

Detectives believe the home invasion was not a random act. Evidence indicates the couple was targeted.
