VANCOUVER, British Columbia — Riley Adams scored on a wild pitch in the sixth inning to break a 2-2 tie and the Vancouver Canadians went on to beat the Everett AquaSox 5-3 in Northwest League action Sunday.
The loss was Everett’s third straight.
Adams’ run gave the Canadians a 3-2 lead. Reggie Pruitt hit a two-run single later in the inning to give Vancouver a 5-2 advantage.
In the top of the ninth, Everett cut the difference to 5-3 on a double by Manny Pazos that scored Chris Torres. But Vancouver’s Orlando Pascual struck out Everett’s Greifer Andrade to end the threat and collect his fourth save of the season.
Donnie Sellers (2-1) got the win in relief. Everett’s David Hesslink (0-2) took the loss.
Pazos led Everett’s offense. He doubled twice, drove in a run and also scored a run.
