EVERETT — Vandals caused about $5,000 in damage Monday night at Explorer Middle School in south Everett.
Police found smashed windows, overturned furniture and computers damaged in three classrooms when they were called around 9:10 p.m. to the school on Sharon Drive. Officers searched the neighborhood with a police dog, but the vandals were gone.
Most of the damage was done to one classroom that could not be used Tuesday, said Andy Muntz, a Mukilteo School District spokesman.
“We do have surveillance (footage) and we are working with the police,” Muntz said.
Investigators believe the suspects are two boys and a girl, said Everett police officer Aaron Snell. So far no other suspect description has been released.
