“Driftless”
The artist: Josh Clauson
About Clauson and the album: A Trafton School and Arlington High School graduate, the leader of the band Flowmotion and the producer of the annual Summer Meltdown music festival in Darrington, Clauson released this new album on Sept. 23.
The tunes are from Clauson and the lyrics are from his wife, Genevieve Hayton Clauson. The album was recorded with the help of Michael Iris and Aaron Guest at Bell Creek Studio near Bellingham.
A Kickstarter fundraising campaign helped fund the production costs.
The solo album is Clauson’s second. He calls the new songs “heartfelt” and describes the music as “dream folk.” Think ethereal soundscapes, introspective lyrics and ambient acoustic music.
