Woman found in clothing donation bin identified

EVERETT — A young woman who was found in a clothing donation bin near Everett in May has been identified as Patricia DeValkeneer, of Marysville.

The 22-year-old’s death was ruled an accident, according to the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office. DeValkeneer died from a drug overdose that likely was caused by heroin.

A man had been picking up the donations May 21 when he found DeValkeneer. The medical examiner believes she died inside the bin.

The donation site was located in the 900 block of 132nd Street SW.
