EVERETT — A cement-mixer truck jackknifed on I-5 in Everett Friday afternoon, closing southbound lanes for a couple hours.
The truck crashed on the interstate between Broadway and Everett Mall Way around 1:45 p.m. No one was injured, said trooper Heather Axtman of the Washington State Patrol.
More than 50 gallons of diesel spilled on the roadway, Axtman said. The Department of Ecology cleaned up the mess, which had caused close to a five-mile backup.
All southbound lanes of the interstate have re-opened.
