VIDEO: Performances from 2008 Skate America at Xfinity Arena

On Thursday U.S. figure Skating announced that 2018 Skate America was awarded to Everett’s Xfinity Arena.
This will be the second time Skate America takes place in Everett, as it was held at what was then called Comcast Arena in 2008. That year the event drew 29,477 fans, which remains a Skate America record.

Johnny Weir may now be better known for his television commentary and antics alongside Tara Lipinski, but in 2008 the two-time U.S. Olympian was busy taking the silver medal at Skate America. Here’s his long program:

Lastly, it’s possible that Kamiak High School graduate Jean-Luc Baker and his partner Kaitlin Hawayek will be invited to participate in ice dancing at 2018 Skate America.
