Woman found dead in her Marysville City Jail cell ID’d

MARYSVILLE — A woman who was found dead Dec. 9 in her cell at the Marysville City Jail has been identified as Jennifer R. Wheelock, of Marysville.

The cause and manner of her death are pending further investigation, according to the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Wheelock, 47, had been in custody roughly four days after being arrested on warrants. She was found unresponsive in her cell at 4:35 p.m. Saturday. Efforts to revive her were unsuccessful and she died at the scene.

Marysville police continue to investigate Wheelock’s death.
