Hawkeye staff earn national awards

Two members of the Mountlake Terrace High School’s Hawkeye staff earned national awards at the JEA/NSPA National Journalism Convention held recently in Dallas.
Of the more than 5,000 attendees at the convention, 1,581 participated in on-site competitions. Gavin Norley, a junior, earned an “Excellent” in broadcast news writing. Nolan DeGarlais, a sophomore, earned an “Excellent” in news writing.
