Craft time for tweens

Youth age 10-14 are invited to make calendars at the next DIY Tweens event, 3 p.m. Friday at the Mariner Library, 520 128th St. SW, Everett.

Robots in the library

The Museum of Flight presents the Robot Garage, 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday in the activity room at the Everett Public Library, 2702 Hoyt Ave. Students in grades 3-8 are invited to this interactive program to learn about basic concepts, robotics history and the latest uses of robots on Earth and in space.

Students will have an opportunity to work in teams to design and construct a model extraterrestrial rover.

Everybody’s Closet giving away clothes

The next Everybody’s Closet, which offers gently used clothing for free, is set for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Carl Gipson Senior Center, 3025 Lombard Ave., Everett. Open to the public. Clothes for men, women and children will be available.

Community healing after a disaster

The next presentation in Sno-Isle Libraries’ “Issues That Matter” series on mental health is “Trauma Timeline: Breaking down barriers for community healing,” 2 p.m. Saturday at the Darrington Library, 1005 Cascade St. The forum will focus on the healing that continues after disaster.

Mr. Mariner headlines fundraiser for LEAD

Former Seattle Mariner first baseman Alvin Davis headlines the Leadership Education and Advance Development (LEAD) auction and dinner Feb. 3 at the Everett Boys & Girls Club.

Tickets are $60, or $120 for a VIP experience with a special reception with Davis.

Auction item donations are welcome.

LEAD is a Lynnwood-based nonprofit that seeks to instill leadership skills in youth through sports. The group has donated sports equipment and held sports camps.

Big Climb benefit

Port Gardner Bay Winery, at 3006 Rucker Ave., Everett, is holding a benefit for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Washington’s Big Climb Seattle from 3 to 8 p.m. Feb. 4. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased the day of the event. That includes a glass of wine and all-you-can-eat buffet during the Super Bowl broadcast.

The event is 21-and-older.

MEETING

March to impeach

An Everett gathering of the national March for Impeachment is set for Saturday. Plans call for meeting at 10 a.m. at the 10th Street boat launch off Marine View Drive on the Everett waterfront. A rally at the Snohomish County complex in downtown Everett marks the turnaround point and is expected to start around noon.
