Lakewood’s Perry earns WIAA Athlete of the Week honors

Lakewood girls basketball star Jelly Perry earned Athlete of the Week honors from the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association for Jan. 7-13.
Perry, a 5-foot-7 senior guard, posted a double-double with 30 points, 19 rebounds, six steals and three blocks in a 41-37 win over Mount Baker on Jan. 8.
Perry is averaging 18 points and 16.4 rebounds per game this season for the Cougars (7-9 overall, 2-6 Northwest Conference).
