Coupeville boys basketball celebrating 101st anniversary Friday

COUPEVILLE — The Coupeville High School boys basketball program is celebrating its 101st anniversary during Friday night’s 5:15 p.m. home game against Chimacum.

The game will take place exactly 101 years after Coupeville beat Langley 29-7 on Jan. 19, 1917, in the program’s inaugural contest.

As part of the celebration, Coupeville basketball greats will be honored. After the game, all former Coupeville players and coaches are invited onto the court for a group photo.
