What: Cherished for centuries the flowers of this eye-catching primrose group, gold-laced primula have golden centers surrounded by mahogany petals, each of which is scalloped in creamy gold. The distinctive blooms cluster atop stout stems about 6 to 8 inches above rosettes of crispy green foliage.
Where: Plant in light to open shade. The soil should be rich and well-drained. Divide clumps every two to three years for the best vigor and longevity.
Size: Primula gold-laced group grows to be 9 inches tall and 1½ feet wide when mature.
Care: Water frequently to regularly during dry periods.
